Sorry, again, it's been too long not to update my blog :-(
Since there's a lot of request from friends to see my 'moffice' photos, I will upload some of it.
The 'moffice' idea was began at least from year 2001. It was materialized on December 2001 after I draw a focus drawing. With a kind help of "Bayem" Eka Putra, a friend of mine and my little bro, I was able to pay the down payment for the right veedub that I saw by chance aside the street.
I put the moffice sign on the windshield since then..
The idea was to use it as my mobile work-station, loaded with gatgets powered by sun-energy: laptop, printer/scanner, internet connection, fax, etc.
there's some reasons why I decided to live with this idea:
- it is an old but cool stuff, produced in 1973, hence I don't add new vehicle for my tiny island
- it has a warm friendship feeling between veedub owners/hobbyist/mechanics
- it spacey, big enough to work in, and to sleep in too sometime
After I decided to repaint it in 2007, it was not being used quite a while..
Oct 2008, it restarts the new spirit ;-)
I put electric 'mirror' using cctv cam -tv and vga monitor at the same time- from my idea since 1988. thing takes time to be materialized... (the plan was to put 4 cctv cams to cover different views and to record the journey if necessary)
I try to get a neo-retro look by decreasing some 'lines' on the body, and put 'one-piece glass' for windows.
I keep the bamboo seats made by Putu Witsen (recently known as Mepantigan martial sport) the former owner, and change the wall cover using black bamboo... I change the dashboard instrument setting and put the lcd screen, and MP3 player for intertainment...
To accommodate my mobile-living style, I put shower on the rear door, and add water tank.
The water absorbing the heat of the engine to provide warm water..
It equipped with electric water heater for tea or coffee, and juicer too ;-)
