happiness on-the-spots

Hehehe this is an old post that I forgot to send.

new variant of trekking had done in the Viewture-Village trek Sunday, November 2, 2008.
The purpose was to promote alternative energy knowledge thru learning by doing, celebrating life and friendship, respect nature and 'agri-culture'.

We started in the morning under the cloudy day. But with bright spirits ;-)
The kids dividing the loads, and share it and carry it in their backpack. [this is the way we promoting team work to them], some kids brought accu (12V/10A from the e-bike), one kid brought inverter, the others brought juicer, heater, cables, AVO meter... also ice. Wondering why?

We will help them to learn right on-the-spot!
The trek was already familiar to them, since we've done it several times, only with small trimming to see new views.

We had some friends joined: Agus Wes of Greenpeace, Ngurah (pak Choco), Putu, Gus Arik andhis dougther and nephew, of course Bogels and Mesums guys, and Connie and Anna of VECO.

When we are ready to start, a short briefing given to the kids.
The first target was the papaya farming spot.
On the location the boys buy some papaya from the farmer, while we help the kids to learn about electricity. What is plus, minus, positive and negative poles, parallel link, stepping up, and connect it all together with a juicer as a load. They tried it. Do it. and rrrrrrrr the juicer was on ;-) we put the papaya and ice and we got the FRESHEST papaya juice right-on-the-spot.

The second spot was cucumber farm, then choco farm. You know what? Agus Wes was coming up with a surprising new blend: CHOCUMBER ;-)
The kids was repeating the set up of the accu and inverter and the juicer -because the kid who brought the heater was left behind.. maybe he ways enjoying another thing-, and all the participants were happy with the taste

forty and happy ;-)

The Gregorian calendar system finally touched the October 29, 2008.
Maybe just an ordinary day, but I counted it as a special one, since my mother was giving me a birth 40 years ago ;-) Thanks Ibu, Thanks Bapak in heaven, Thanks for all ancestors before me, and God for the life I live, and the love and laugh I experienced. The sadness that made me respect this life, the problems that made me stronger..., Thanks for all friends, even peoples that I don't know who did their part in this great system on this fantastic world.

Special thanks to the yo
uth and kids of my kampong who set up a simple but nice party to celebrate life at Roemah Kayon. Candles, black forest cake, jokes and smiles, songs and photographs in a cold evening after the rain.

Some says that life begins at forty ;-)

Reusing the WOODBALL laminated wood letters into BALIWOOD text for fun photograph. it looks great in the evening with candle lights ;-) so, if Hollywood is in California, BALIWOOD is in BALIFORNIA hahahaha.

>am so sorry, never have enuff time to upload my moffice-mobiliving story ;-) but the idea to use the old combi volkswagen to open the eyes and mind of the folks is rolling and rolling..

Asian Beach Games over

the 1st Asian Beach Games in Bali beaches just over.
I was involved in the preparation of the Woodball games venue making with 17 crew from Kiadan, and also with Made -who helped me even since the earlier meetings-, and Preret and Komang of Tenganan.

Maryoto Subekti -my friend in BABGOC, who also a film director, former Bali Broadcasting Council member, karate guru, and a long list of involvement in this and that ;-) -was giving me the chance to be involved in this game hectic preparation. It was not really a difficult job, but we have to work overnights to meet the deadline since the schedule of the Ayodya Hotel, where we built the venue, was already booked for another occasion until just 2 days before the deadline.
We spent 6 days and nights work off-site in freezing Kiadan, at Pasek's place, to prepare the materials.

It was good anyway, since we became the first to see the nice sunrise at nusadua beach ;-)

Team Indonesia -the women team- awarded bronze medal for team catagory, and the Chinese Taiwan no wonder bring home the gold. The game was founded in their country thou.

Just interesting to note that during thus days the news was all about monetary crisis in the US, followed by the UK. Gave a vivid proof to me about the reality behind those highly prestigious capitalism mecca, which naively followed by a lot of countries under their control, including Indonesia. But we have some fun here in Bali, dude ;-) despite the negative publication and the centralistic management of the event..

The coffee price is getting low, since the broker in London stock exchange be in trouble :-( Sad to know our coffee grower friends who just getting excited will lost their spirit again :-(

Anyway, I will be turning 40 in a few days ;-) am sooooo happy.

vibration resonance

there's no other words than BIG THANKS to bapak kami, our wise grey-haired man, Ida Wayan Oka Granoka Gong!
Like his last name, he brought the deep vibration of GONG to our small village. With his troop of 80 small kids, teenagers, and young adults -4 of them are his own doughters and son- in the middle of the road, in front of our Bale Banjar, under the Moon screen and pyramidal shaped bamboo sculpture over the 12 by 12 square meters Mandala, they shocked the crowd. Everybody stand still. Following the vibration generated by their unique Pakarana Gambelan and voices.

Maha Bajra Sandhi really is a BIG thing conducted by small kids.
It's hard to describe actually, unless you were there with us..

It's a long journey of idea materialization of a 'lonely' traveller. From the old holy-scripture, written dated back about 6 centuries ago. With his dedicated family, and parents who believed in his idea and send their kids to be trained and given a room to express their soul, their spirit, their talent within..

After Athena, Vietnam, Trowulan, then Geluntung (hopefully become tiny viewture village ;-) may the vibration they brought will open up peoples minds, pumping the spirits to move on. From a small village, the atom of the world, to share positive things to the world.

And of course thanks to the community of Geluntung, and everyone who contributed their effort to made those things happened ;-)

Please open www.viewturevillage.blogspot.com also, they may have more things to share.

Incubators

Some ideas and experiments taking place currently in our 'village lab'. Thanks to friends who helped and keep on supporting us. As usual, in the real world not every single concept will be transformed into reality as we planned so.. There's always a right momentum for everything.

Thanks for our BALIFORNIA friends who worked intensively almost a month with more than a week overtimes :-) Raka Cahyadi, Made Pupuan, Ketut Piluk, Agus -who is now in Istambul- Wayan Sujana, and other friends from BALIside. Brian 'Wayan Pedas' Scharf, from FORNIAside with Garret the Vancouver sail master. You guys had been opened our community's eyes to give more values on bamboo. Bamboo can do, man!
Brian and Garret will rebuild the bamboo sculpture we made at the BURNINGMAN FESTIVAL amidst the desert in America in August :-) Go Bamboo Warrior Go!

The SiVA Nest would be materialized soon hopefully :-)
and if its perfect place will be in Thailand, so it will become the first chance for our village crew to give their craftmanship touch to the other side of the world. Thanks for Shavvanah to give us the opportunity. Must be nice to see her son Tiger again :-) an energetic young boy...

The EGG (ElectricGeoGroover a.k.a EkadayaGumiGerit -Balinese for trick in a crisis world) is our next step. Some sketches and model already in our 'incubator'. Will release how it looks when it ready soon.

Three excellent students from Yogyakarta are now staying at our Roemah Kayon compound. They help us while they are practicing their knowledge in mapping and planning. Please see viewturevillage.blogspot.com to know more about their activities. And kindly Search KAYON foundation in wikimapia.org
Only a few days living in our small kampong, they adapted nicely with our daily life.
Wake up early and flocking with peoples at the hot bubur (fourage) spot. A perfect place for to be socialize with the locals. As our Balifornia friend Brian did too :-)

With the community in our banjar (hamlet) we plan a very special performance on the street on the dusk of July 26th. There will be 80 kids of Maha Bajra Sandhi -dancers and gamelan instrument players at the same time-, performing sacred 'music-yoga' for 2 hours. They performed those kind of dance and pakarana gamelan in Athena, Vietnam, and Trowulan in East Java -where the site of the capital city of Majapahit, the greatest kingdom in Nusantara/Indonesia was situated from year 1293 until about the 16th century- . And of course several special spots and occasions in Bali island. It's a very big honor for us that pak Oka Granoka agreed to bring his fantastic group of kids to perform in our small village. Our deepest respect that wise old man, with full gray hair, a man of work, creative minority that always exploring new ideas and gives new breath for old tradition. "the Village is the ATOM of the world" he said :-)

participatory mapping and planning

Finally, a quite old idea of doing a proper map for our village is being materialized ;-)
Thanks for the help of 3 students of Planology, from faculty of Architecture and Planning, Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta -ARD: Atrid, Rani and Danar- who work together with the kids, youth organizations and the villagers.

Please open viewturevillage.blogspot.com to see more about their weekly activities.

after data collecting and basic mapping are completed, we will conduct a socialization thru an exhibition before August 17th, the Indonesia Independent Day.

suryamukti e+bike, first of it's kind modified in Bali

This is an electric bike -made in China 2005. I bought it for a purpose: promoting alternative energy uses, and as my self-responsibility to use less polluting fuels. I've designed 'the roof' for it on Oct 17, 2005.

During my trip to Bandung on May 13, 2008 I found the right size and spec' of solar panel for that purpose. It's a 48V/40W amorphus type solar panel, made in China too..

The May 20th (Boedi Oetomo day, pioneer of indo youth org) triggered me to build the pipe rigging for the panel. I guess it must be the first of its kind. I worked with some guys in my village to build it. (in banjar Geluntung Kaja, Margarana, Tabanan, Bali. kindly search agungputradhyana artchitecture and more... at wikimapia.org)

Earlier I'd put small 4V/700mW cells to charge the radio on the e+bike.
The community Radio Station I built also powered by solar energy, from where we broadcast musics, local arts/entertainments, and live on-air or recorded discussion on environmental or cultural issues. We use 2 'studios' in Rumah Kayon, our center in my village. The kubusiar -an alang-alang roofed bamboo construction- where the announcers operating the radio station also has its independent solar powered lightings.

I found that this 'big gadget' -combining bike, radio- is an effective tool for promoting awareness on Alternative Energy (alt.NRG) implementation in a simple way.

SUN, Ra, Raditya, matahari... whatever you name it, the closest star which is the center of our Solar System is the Supreme Energy that powers life and nature system of our Planet Earth. The worshiping for the Sun already done by different beliefs, religions, tribes in many places around the globe.

Through Science, by experiments and series of inventions, nowadays we could transform the sunlight into electricity. It could be the new way to worship the Sun ;-)

From a small village in Bali, those technology products combined for a newer look and function: an electric bike -hence you don't need driving license to drive it, or annual tax-, with SUNroof to charge it when it parked under the sun or while it's running. Took about 6 hours of charging time to get full charge for 30 km or one hour ride on flat/smooth road.

Ring or sms +62 818 34 678 6 or email agungia@yahoo.com for further
discussions.

Warm regards, Lights and Peace from Bali
